Happy New Year! My transition into 2023 was calm and bright, hopefully yours was, too. I’ve been absent from Dan’s Thursday Doors for a few weeks with lots of traveling back and forth, to and fro, over the river and through the woods. I visited with family and friends, attended my daughter’s hooding ceremony (PhD from UTKnoxville, Go Haley!!!), holiday shopped and wrapped and all the while, celebrated the holiday season…so much of life to live and for this I am grateful! I did get in my early December Quebec trip with three other coffee girls, and it was the very best way to kick off the Christmas season. I fell in love with this picturesque town and want to return. I so love visiting new cities where I can experience how others live amongst architecture, food, and traditions different from my own. While in Quebec, we ate, drank, shopped, and walked a lot, yielding many opportunities to meet new and interesting doors. Here are just a few from my trip.

The nights were wonderfully chilly adding to the festive Christmas Market atmosphere and making the mulled wine especially tasty. Now that I think of it, I also imbibed during the day so perhaps mulled wine works at any hour! Don't judge. A big shoutout to Dan of No Facilities for hosting us today, our first door day post of 2023. Click here for other doorscursions from around the globe. And a big congratulations to Teresa of My Camera and I for her winning submission in the Thursday Door 2023 badge contest! Until next time.

These are beautiful doors. I especially like the bluish cast on the first three doors. It gives a different vibe.

I noticed this too, Teresa. The indoor tv monitor reflections give the windows a ‘holiday lights’ vibe.

Oh was that caused by the TV monitor? That’s cool 👍

Wonderful doors. The first two doors blue and red gave a welcoming nostalgia feel for me.
