My feet hit familiar ground
As I rise from sated slumber.
Feeling content in my rested skin
And surrounded by my knicks and knacks.
Routine flows anew after time away
Habitating in another’s four walls.
Thankful for the time away
And respite from demands.
Exchanging one nest for another
Today this creature comforts within her own.
“HE IS HAPPIEST BE HE KING OR PEASANT WHO FINDS PEACE IN HIS HOME.”
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
