SONG A DAY, Day 1

Thanks Sandra over at A Momma’s View  for asking me to join her and others in the Post A Song A Day event. The rules are as follows…

I’m going with my very first impulse and returning to what I was listening to at the gym this morning.  Here is where I left off…

“Satan Pulls The Strings” by The Avett Brothers.

The lyrics in this particular song have no special meaning for me though I do enjoy it (and all of their music) so much more after seeing the Avett Bros when they visited C’ville last fall and also the year before. They sing a wide range of songs; hymns to rockabilly and twangy tunes telling of broken hearts and memories collecting dust. Their on-stage energy is quite contagious and should you get the opportunity to attend a concert you will be on your feet much of the evening!
