gallery Thursday Doors of Casa Batlló

Antoni Gaudí’s ornate structure standing proudly on Passeig de Grácia stops traffic. When I first saw it I had no idea what we’d found but quickly discovered Gaudi’s historical building in the Barcelona travel guide I constantly referenced. Sadly we were unable to tour inside but enjoyed the unique architecture from the street. Look closely at the balcony doors and the bone-like terraces attached. I still am mesmorized by the colorful and creative architecture of this building.

    • I cannot even imagine what lies inside…so sorry I did not plan to tour prior to arriving in Barcelona. Will do so next time, if there is a next time. We did tour his Sagrada Família and WOW. A very different cathedral.
